MIUI 14: Leaks and eligible devices

Xiaomi's MIUI is one of the most popular Android skins out there. Along with Samsung's One UI and Oxygen OS from OnePlus. Xiaomi's MIUI has been infamous for its bloat and adware that makes the system unstable, and very laggy. Even though MIUI had a bad customer experience in the past, it seems like the next iteration of MIUI i.e. MIUI 14, will bring the necessary changes to gain back the love that MIUI lost after MIUI 10.
So today, Based on the leaks, we will discuss the new features that might come out, and all the devices that might get it in the future. So, without further a do, let's get started

When will Xiaomi release MIUI 14?

No official date has been confirmed by Xiaomi yet. But the rumors have it that MIUI 14 will be released by the month of December this year.

Text recognition on images in the gallery.

As part of the new redesigned Gallery app, Xiaomi is about to introduce iOS-inspired, text recognition
in their latest MIUI 14. This feature makes its way to MIUI from iOS 15. This feature will allow the users to extract text directly from any image present in their gallery. This can be particularly helpful in translating foreign languages and reading documents. But all this will depend on how well they manage to integrate it into the workflow, and how optimized it is. So, let's just wait and see if Xiaomi learns from its mistake and does it well this time.

New Anti Fraud Protection.

Another reassuring feature that MIUI is going to roll out with MIUI 14 is the Anti Fraud Protection Filter. Xiaomi is seemingly working on adding a new ‘anti-fraud protection’ feature to MIUI 14.
A leaked screenshot includes filters for voice calls, and SMS messages, and a security filter for installed apps as well. It’s not clear who Xiaomi is partnering with to offer this feature, but the database for frauds is likely to vary depending on the country/region, for efficient operation. The fraud apps filter is likely to be offered in partnership with a cyber security firm, Like Moto's think shield, and Samsung's Knox. which too could vary depending on the country version of MIUI 14.

Declutter Notification.

The New MIUI 14 will apparently offer a Notification cleanup feature which will help in making the UI more focused and will also provide some extra RAM as fewer notifications will result in fewer apps running in the background, which will eventually end up in some more free RAM. But then again, this will depend completely on How they Execute it. Let's hope for the best.

UI Changes.

Along with these major changes, there are some, minor UI changes like a New assistant UI for Xiao AI that is exclusive to china, then a new click UI and new Icons and animations as well. But No matter how many Visual changes Xiaomi Brings, it will get hate from the community until they fix the fundamental issue which is ADs and bloat. Well, as a faithful MI fan I'll be eagerly waiting to see what Xiaomi holds this time.
